In his new study, PISC Advisory Board member Guohua Li provides a solution for the significant lack of marijuana testing data in the Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS), a national database concerning automobile accident fatalities. The study's multiple implementation procedure appears to be a valid approach to the issue, and may help strengthen the capacity of the FARS for monitoring the epidemic of drugged driving and understanding the role of marijuana in fatal motor vehicle crashes in the United States.
