Women’s Occupational Patterns and Later Life Physical Functioning

Led by past PISC trainee Aimee Palumbo, this study focuses on the association between women's work patterns and future physical health. It found that compared with working continuously, women who retired or left the workforce early had an 8% increased risk of future physical limitations, while women who only worked intermittently had a 5% reduced risk.
