Using High-Resolution Residential Greenspace Measures in an Urban Environment to Assess Risks of Allergy Outcomes in Children

Although there have been many reported health benefits of urban greenspace (gs), their effects on allergies are less clear. This study, contributed to by PISC Senior Scholar Michelle Kondo, found that measures strongly correlated with tree canopy (such as the normalized differential vegetation index) may be not be enough to draw sufficient correlations between gs and allergies in children and young adolescents.
