Contributed to by PISC Senior Scholar Rebecca Waller, this study examined the connection between antisocial behavior (AB), callous-unemotional traits (CU traits), and white matter microstructure, especially in the context of young adult men from low-income, urban families. It found that there were significant associations between AB and white matter microstructure of several tracts only for those with high co-occurring levels of CU traits, but such associations did not differ by race, socioeconomic status, or comorbid psychiatric symptoms.
