The Stand Your Ground Project

The Stand Your Ground Project has a new website dedicated to supporting ongoing research into the effects of stand you ground laws by the University of Oxford and University of Pennsylvania. The Stand Your Ground Project is a collection of research led by researchers at the University of Oxford, the University of Pennsylvania and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. The study seeks to examine the impact of changes to self-defense laws on physical injury, violence and crime in states enacting these laws since 2000.

The Joyce Foundation funds The Stand Your Ground Project.

David Humphreys, PhD, and Douglas Weibe, PhD, operate as CO-PIs with engagement from Michele Degli Esposti, PhD.
