Development of the Integrated New Jersey Safety and Health Outcomes Data Warehouse

A recent study led by PISC Senior Scholar Allison E. Curry, PhD, MPH, assessed the New Jersey Safety and Health Outcomes (NJ-SHO) data warehouse, a source frequently cited in injury prevention studies. Results were obtained by linking data encompassing 22.3 million individuals, pulled from six administrative databases within New Jersey. After iterative assessment, the NJ-SHO proved to have a 99.9% accuracy rating. These findings confirm the reliability of the NJ-SHO for the purpose of injury prevention studies.
