It was great to connect with the researchers, clinicians, trainees, and partners at Emergency Medicine Research Day 2026, hosted by PISC Co-Director Zack Meisel and the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine. A keynote presentation on “Don’t Do Academic Research” encouraged attendees to think differently about charting their research paths, and poster and oral presentations – including plenary oral presentations from Sara Solomon, Community Action Board Co-Chair Tyrique Glasgow, and Evan Spencer – brought the latest science across the department.
Lightning oral presentations, awards, and bike safety gear from the Penn Injury Science Center rounded out the afternoon and sent the audience on their way feeling inspired (and safe!)
