Ali Rowhani-Rahbar is the Bartley Dobb Professor for the Study and Prevention of Violence at the University of Washington. The goal of his research is to inform equitable and population-level programs and policies that reduce the occurrence and lethality of inter-personal violence and self-directed harm. His epidemiologic studies have spanned across multiple forms of violence with a specific focus on firearm-related harm. Dr. Rowhani-Rahbar received a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Washington, an MD from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, and his Master’s of Public Health in Epidemiology from Yale University.
